Kcation Local Friend
Want a Korean friend in Seoul?
Most visitors leave Korea without a single Korean friend — not because Koreans are unfriendly, but because there is no easy, safe way to meet. Kcation is a licensed Korean travel agency (operating since 2004). We are building a way to connect visitors with friendly locals for everyday things: a language exchange over coffee, a market food crawl, help at Olive Young, or a weekend hike. Tell us what you'd enjoy and when you're coming — we'll email you first when it opens in your dates.

FAQ
How can I make Korean friends as a tourist?
+
Yes. The easiest ways are language-exchange meetups in Seoul (often in Hongdae, Sinchon and Gangnam cafés), joining a group activity such as a cooking class or hike, and asking for small help — Koreans are often happy to recommend food. Kcation is also gathering interest to introduce visitors to friendly locals; join the list on this page.
Is this a paid tour guide service?
+
Not right now. We're collecting interest to decide what to launch. Professional guided tours for foreign visitors in Korea are led by licensed tour interpreter guides; for a full guided day, send a regular trip inquiry.
Is it a dating app?
+
No. It's about friendship and culture — meeting in public places for food, language and everyday Korea.
What language will the locals speak?
+
Tell us which languages you're comfortable with. We'll prioritize locals who speak English, Japanese or Chinese — and many also want to practice yours.
